In the year it celebrates 40 years of cultural activity in Ipanema, Galeria de Arte Ipanema is proud to present the exhibition CINÉTICOS: Arte em Movimento.
Kinetic art is one of the most important expressions of contemporary art. It elaborates forms and visual effects to generate movement or optical illusion. The exhibition Dynamo, Un Siècle de Lumière et de Mouvement Dans L'Art 1913-2013, at the Grand Palais in Paris, has just revered kinetics and shown that they remain more current than ever.
Kinetic is linked to the idea of art in movement, based on its own structuring.
Kinetic art is linked to the language of movement, whose determining factor is the location of the observer before the work.
The exhibition presents works by 5 artists: Carlos Cruz-Diez, Jesús Rafael Soto, Julio Le Parc, Luis Tomasello and Victor Vasarely. The public will have the privilege of reviewing some of their incomparable works.
